Altech-Eco Gets US EPA Approval for Ford CNG Conversions

Altech-Eco Corporation, the conversion facility for Transeco Energy Corporation, has obtained an EPA Certificate of Conformity for converting 2008 Ford Focus models with 2.0 liter engines to run on compressed natural gas (CNG). The CNG conversion is backed by inclusion into Ford's motor credit arrangements for customers. The CNG Ford Focus runs on cng or gasoline with a driving range of 218 - 318 miles with an average 35 mpg on highway and 24 in the city. “With more than 8 million natural gas vehicles worldwide on the road today Altech-Eco is proud to be a part of the industry growth and is committed to support the NGV industry in every aspect and issue requiring action necessary for reaching this target,” said Altech-Eco President, Alexander Kovalchuk.
