Singapore bulds its largets NGV station

The local gas company Union Energy Corporation announced the start of construction of the largest refueling station for compressed natural gas (CNG) in Singapore. Located along Old Toh Tuck Road in Bukit Timah, it will be the fifth CNG station of the Asian country and Union Energy’s first foray into the market of gas vehicles. The new station, to be named C-Nergy, will be built on more than 7.000 square meters of land, and up to 46 vehicles will be able to refuel natural gas. According to the company, C-Nergy should be open to the public by August 2009. The gas supplier reported that the station will be also used to supply gaseous fuel to the current and future taxis powered by CNG, which owns the local company TransCab Services.
