Best CNG 2008 cars Mercedes B 170 NGT: compact This B 170 NGT is the first compact car running on natural gas made by Mercedes, which is already producing the E 200 NGT. Boosted by its 116 bhp, it will be on sale from next June. At 135 grams of CO2 per kilometre, its emissions are lower than those of the petrol version of the same model. With the B 170 NGT Mercedes presents his first natural gas powered compact model. The B-class with 116hp/85kW will be launched in June 2008. The new B 170 NGT offers the same advantages as the actual E-class NGT limousine. With 135g CO2 per km the emissions are 25% lower than a comparable petrol-powered B-class. Ford Mondeo Greenpower: one of Ford’s gas models Almost all Ford models in Switzerland are available as dual fuel versions, like this very handsome Mondeo estate car, comfortably powered by a 2-litre four-cylinder engine producing 145 bhp. In Switzerland all Ford models are available in a bi-fuel version as certificated after-sales solution. By this, Ford enables what anyone interested in natural gas cars is dreaming of: the free choice in within the whole model line-up. With his 145hp engine the New Mondeo station wagon 2.0i is powered in an adequate way and the shape is pleasing the eye with his elegant and modern design. Chevrolet Captiva 3.2l V6 The compact 4x4 is equipped with a 3.2l V6 engine and a brilliant power output of more than 200hp. The CO2 emissions are remarkably reduced. The autonomy with natural gas is about 300kms, the sales price is not yet confirmed. The Natural Gas Captiva will be launched in Switzerland in the middle of 2008.
