MACAU GP - GET was there!
After four attempts to conquer the Guia Circuit, Japan’s Keita Sawa, sponsored by GET, finally claimed victory at the wheel of his LKM-backed Lamborghini Gallardo GT3, winning the Macau GT Cup.
Sawa grabbed the lead from pole-sitter Darryl O’Young in a Porsche Cup S at the rolling start and never looked back, although his Hong Kong rival fought hard to the end. The intense battle saw the LKM-Team Jebsen driver cross the line just 0.285 seconds behind Sawa at the end of the 10-lap race.
Third was Briton Danny Watts in a Porsche 997 GT3 Cup, 23.077 behind the leader, while Malaysia’s Tunku Hammam Sulong was fourth in a Porsche 997 GT3 Cup S.
Sixth was Samson Chan, first of the no pro drivers, on his Porsche 997 GT3 Cup, official GET driver.
In the same date Edoardo Mortara, 22-year-old Italian driver won the Formula 3 Grand Prix and Gabriele Tarquini, finished fifth at the end of his race, became the new FIA World Touring Car Champion.
