Training for CNG station employees in Pakistan

In order to prepare trained workforce for compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling stations, United States Agency for International Development (USAID) signed an agreement with All Pakistan CNG Association (APCNGA). Through this agreement, USAID under its Pakistan Jobs Project, along with APCNGA aims to improve the employees as well as the employers’ income, safety of the CNG stations and customer service, says a press release. USAID Pakistan Jobs Project’s aim is to support the Government of Pakistan in its efforts to improve the competitiveness of its economy by strengthening systems for workforce development, encouraging Pakistani companies to invest in human capital, and improving access to trainings, jobs and business opportunities for the youth and women. Brian Cavanagh, Chief of Party USAID Pakistan Jobs, said that this agreement will open the doors of opportunities for the youth of Pakistan to get training and placement in this growing energy sector. The availability of trained workforce at CNG stations will increase the income, both at individual and enterprise levels. Central Chairman APCNGA, Ghayas Abdullah Paracha, said there is much room to develop the skills of the workforce, working at CNG fillings stations because skilful labor is the dire need of the CNG sector, as it is flourishing rapidly and there is no trained workforce available in the market at present. Assuring APCNGA’s full cooperation, Paracha further said that after completing this training, the skilled workers would be able to run the business in a safe and sound manner. He added that this facility will also bring opportunities for the youth to have a respectable and dependable income source. GET Worldwide: CNG Engineering Consultancy - CNG Turnkey Station
